Search in Thunderbird

Every now and then I get some email containing things I want to search for. Search from the message menu. Until now, I have had to select the text, copy it, launch Firefox, click on the search box, and paste it in. But with the OpenSearch addon for Thunderbird, all I need to do is right-click and choose “Search… » Search the web”, or choose “Search…” from the Message menu.

The purpose of this prototype is to gather as much feedback as possible, to help us decide whether this feature would work well in Thunderbird, what search engines we should incude by default, and how people would use this feature. With your help, we’re hoping to get this add-on built directly into future versions of Thunderbird so please try it out and leave your feedback.
